As with members of the lowest castes, they are additionally at risk of becoming victims of human trafficking.
CSI priorities
Aid for persecuted religious minorities
- Practical assistance for victims of persecution, including shelter, medicine, and first aid
- Support for a network of human rights lawyers defending Christians facing anti-conversion charges and other injustices
- Establishing and supporting networks of pastors in areas of severe persecution to provide assistance, counseling, training, and pastoral care to Christians
- Training religious minorities on their legal rights and how to navigate persecution and discrimination
Fighting human trafficking
- Awareness and prevention training for pupils, teachers, and parents in schools
- Rescue operations for victims of human trafficking
- Providing aftercare and supporting the reintegration of victims
- Operating rehabilitation centers for minor girls rescued from human trafficking
