Welcome to CSI UK’s new website!

It is designed to keep you abreast of religious persecution worldwide and to put into action your solidarity with Christians who suffer for their faith or belief.

The violent persecution of Christians and others for their beliefs is a growing global phenomenon.

As wars between competing empires, nations and ideologies engulf ever more parts of the world, the suffering parts of the Body of Christ multiply, as do the victims in society at large, regardless of religion, race, or gender.

We are grateful that the current surge of warfare and violent religious persecution have not reached British soil. But even the UK itself, long a bastion of religious freedom, shows troubling signs of increased religious intolerance.

Christians will fail to meet these challenges unless we overcome the many theological and historical divisions and stand united in word and deed in support of religious freedom and human dignity, for ourselves and for others.

Recognition of this need inspired the visionary Rev. Hans Stückelberger to establish Christian Solidarity International nearly 50 years ago as an international, interconfessional movement.

He did so on twin Biblical pillars: I Corinthians 12:26, “when one member suffers, the other members suffer with it”, and on Luke 10:30-37 , the parable of the Good Samaritan.

I urge you to add your spiritual, intellectual and material weight to CSI’s sacred mission. It is needed more now than ever.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dr. John Eibner
President, CSI UK Board of Directors
